Temporary road closure – Lair Railway Bridge - Achnashellach

A temporary road closure will be in place for a section of the A890 Achnasheen – Achnashellach – Strathcarron – Ardnarff Road, extending from a point of around 9850 metres east of its junction with the A896 Strathcarron - Kinlochewe road, generally north eastwards for a distance of around 1000 metres.

The closure is to allow engineers working on behalf of Network Rail, to safely carry out an inspection of the Lair railway bridge.

The closure comes into force from 22:00 on Wednesday 24 March 2021 until 06:00 on Thursday 25 March 2021.

Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained. An alternative route will be available for vehicular traffic and this will be signed.
