Additional financial support now available as part of the Taxi Driver and Operator Grant Scheme
Taxi and Private Hire Drivers and Taxi Operators are set to benefit from a new grant scheme, following an announcement from Scottish Government.
If you are a licensed taxi or private hire driver who previously received support through the Taxi Driver and Private Hire Vehicle Driver Support Fund, and hold a current Driver Licence, you are eligible for an additional payment of £1,500.
If you are a Taxi operator, you may be eligible for a grant of between £1,000 - £15,000 depending on the number vehicle licences you hold.
If you are a Driver with a current licence and are seeking the extra £1,500 grant, you do not need to do anything, as the grant will be paid automatically to you. The first grant payments will be made towards the end of the week commencing 7 June 2021.
If you are a Taxi Operator, we are currently working with our Licensing Team and will write out direct to you from mid-June to gather the required information to enable us to process your application for grant. You do not need to do anything meantime until we contact you.
