Highland Council Leader to meet potential investors

The Highland Council Leader, Cllr Margaret Davidson will be attending The London Real Estate Forum which brings together key decision-makers from the industry, government, investment and business communities to drive sustainable investment and development in cities.

This year other UK city leaders, including leaders from Scotland are taking part in the London Real Estate Forum to identify common challenges, promote collaboration and share ideas. Discussions will be brought to life through keynote speakers, panel debates, project briefings, solution-focused roundtables and networking receptions.

Across the two days of this Forum, the Leader will take part in discussions about the need to accelerate the journey towards net zero and explore opportunities for regeneration and renewal in city and town centres following the impacts of the pandemic. She will meet with a number of key Government Ministers as well as investors.

Speaking on the eve of the event, Cllr Margaret Davidson said: “Meeting so many influential representatives at one event opens up opportunities for us to explore for the benefit of the Highlands. I am looking forward to meeting with potential investors and working to do all we can to attract new investment to the Highlands to boost the regeneration of our communities. It is also going to provide everyone taking part with the chance to share ideas and good practice when it comes to speeding up our journey towards net zero emissions.”
