“BOOtanics” adds extra date due to popular demand

Due to popular demand and great public feedback, the first Halloween event to be held in the city since 2019 is being extended, adding an extra spooky evening to the previously released four nights.
Tickets for the fifth night (Sunday 31st October) will be released to the public at 10am on Friday.
‘Night @ the BOOtanics’ is financially supported by the Inverness Common Good Fund, delivered on behalf of the Inverness Events and Festivals Working Group, by High Life Highland.
Highland Councillor Ian Brown, Chair of the City’s events and festivals working group announced, “We have been absolutely delighted by the response to our ‘Night @ the BOOtanics’ illumination trails at the city’s Botanic Gardens and the feedback we have received from our visitors has been really fantastic.
“It is really great to have seen our local communities get behind this Halloween experience and it is even better that we have managed to work with our partners to add a further ‘night’ onto the four previously advsertised.
“The high uptake in ticket bookings and our feedback, clearly demonstrates that families are ready to participate in community events, and that they trust the systems in place at the illuminations trail are going to keep them as safe as possible. It is amazing to see so many families get involved.”
Amy Macleod, High Life Highland’s Events Development Manager commented, “Coming out of a long period where the public had no free-to-attend events like the BOOtanics trails, we knew the take-up rate was likely to be high. This is the reason that every effort was put in to allocating as many spaces as we could make available, whilst offering as COVID-safe a location possible that was in full compliance with Scottish Government guidelines. It is great that we can now accommodate many more families with the additional sessions on Halloween night.
“We have a number of families that are currently on the ‘waiting list’ for their chosen sessions – and we want to reassure those families that they will not lose their existing stand-by place. However, along with everyone else, they may wish to take this new opportunity to book onto Sunday night’s event. We would however ask anyone with an existing booking that gets a new slot to please cancel their previous slot and free it up for others families to visit.
“An exciting aspect of ‘Night @ the BOOtancis’ is that for many children, this will be their first real experience of Halloween. This makes it even more special that so many families want to get dressed up to come along and experience the trail that has been made possible by the many partners with whom we have worked.”
Councillor Ian Brown concluded, “I really want to thank the many members of the public who have booked tickets and supported this Inverness Common Good Funded event. I hope they have an absolutely amazing time when they come along to one of the five ‘Nights @ the BOOtanics’.
