Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour at Inverness Castle

Talks are taking place to resolve problems being experienced at Inverness Castle concerning the inappropriate use by some car drivers of the access roadways.

The Highland Council is working with Northern Constabulary and the Scottish Courts Service to identify an early solution, which retains reasonable access to the Castle and prevents the anti-social activity.

Provost Bob Wynd, Chairman of the City of Inverness Committee, said:  “It is a great pity that the tranquillity of one of the city’s best assets is being spoilt by the actions of a few inconsiderate drivers.

“The Council has recognised the need to deal with anti-social behaviour at Inverness Castle as quickly as possible, recognising the negative impact on both residents and visitors, and I am confident that we will find a solution.”
