Temporary closure of Union Street and Church Street, Inverness this weekend

There will be a temporary closure of two Inverness city centre streets to enable mobile crane lifting operations at the former Arnott's store construction site.

Temporary traffic restrictions will be in place from 7am on Sunday 30 January to 10pm on Monday 31 January 2022.

U4380 Union Street will be closed between its junction with Academy Street (forming part of the B865 Millburn Road – Academy Street – Chapel Street road) and its junction with the U3873 Drummond Street.

Traffic will be prohibited from turning left into the U4380 Union Street from the B865 Millburn Road - Academy Street - Chapel Street. Vehicles will also be prohibited from turning right into the U4380 Union Street from the B865 Millburn Road - Academy Street - Chapel Street.

At the same time the Council is to carry out site investigation and repair works within the road carriageway in Church Street (next to Co-op).

C1182 Church Street will be closed between its junction with the U4380 Union Street and its junction with the C1183 Queensgate.
