Pupils from Balloch Primary School, Inverness proved they had all the right tricks by lifting the National Minibridge Trophy recently.

It is the second time the school has lifted the trophy after having achieved the same success in 2015.

Prior to the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the senior pupils in the school were taught Minibridge, face-to-face by experts from the Scottish Bridge Union (SBU).

Since 2020 they have been learning online and sessions were led by Mr Tim Wickens and a pool of volunteers from the SBU.

The competition took place online on 24 March 2022, with Balloch Primary School winning the prestigious national trophy as a result of achieving four of the top six places.

Top north south were Hamish and Calum from Balloch Primary and Top east west were Elliot and Harry from Avoch Primary School.
