There is not long left to comment on the Inner Moray Firth Proposed Local Development Plan. The Plan sets out the Council’s view on how the Plan area should develop over the next 10 years and beyond.

The Plan seeks to deliver positive outcomes for communities, connectivity and the environment with an emphasis on post pandemic recovery and addressing the Climate and Ecological Emergency. In larger settlements the Plan earmarks sites for housing, community, business, green space and other uses and specifies parameters under which sites may be developed.

This consultation is communities’ and developers’ final chance to have a say on future development plans in the area. The consultation closes at 12 noon on the 17 June 2022.

Further information can be found at www.highland.gov.uk/imf including easy-watch videos explaining the Plan and how to get involved.
