Victorian Market Queensgate entrance reopened - Inverness

A temporary solution to drainage issues being experienced at the Queensgate entrance of the Victorian Market, which forced a short period of closure, has held firm today and the entrance has been reopened.

Further investigation is being undertaken at 6pm tonight, involving Scottish Water and Highland Council's own contractor. If the situation remains the same the Queensgate entrance will be open as normal tomorrow.

The longer term plan is to carry out works to permanently fix the issue as soon as possible in January. That decision is being made in order to minimise impact to retailers and Christmas trade.
