Highland Council winter road conditions report for Wednesday 11 January 2023

The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.
Road condition reports for Wednesday, 11 January 2023 are as follows:
East Ross-shire (as at 09:08): Wet and windy. Tree down through the night on Craig Road and a sign blown over on the High street Invergordon. Precautionary treatment being carried out through Garrick Woods, Tain after reports of ice. No other known issues.
Caithness (as at 08:24): No action required Temp's higher than forecast, no issues reported.
Lochaber (as at 08:24): Very wet roads with positive road surface temperatures no winter maintenance required , no known overnight issues
Badenoch & Strathspey (as at 07:51): Wet roads throughout the area with positive temperatures. Ski Road treated this morning with a patrol on Bridge of Brown Road. No known overnight issues.
Nairn (as at 07:49): Wet roads throughout the area with positive temps. No winter action needed and no known overnight issues.
Sutherland (as at 07:22): Most routes clear this morning, B9176 treated as a precaution.
Inverness (as at 06:52): Mainly wet this morning with positive road surface temperatures. Some higher roads will be monitored. No known issues.
Skye and Raasay (as at 06:32): Positive road surface temperatures this morning, no winter action. No issues to report overnight.
Lochaber (as at 08:28): Wet roads with positive road surface temperatures, no winter maintenance required, no known overnight issues.
Kilmuir Primary Nursery - Gaelic Medium is partially closed due to unforeseen circumstances.
