Highland Council Winter Road Conditions report - Monday 30 January 2023

The information provided is a summary of reports from operational staff and is intended to give a general indication of typical conditions in each area at a point in time. It is not intended to imply that any individual route is entirely snow and ice free and drivers must be aware that conditions can change rapidly and make their own assessment of conditions for travelling.

Road condition reports for the areas where road treatment has been carried out on Monday 30 January 2023 are as follows:

Lochaber (as at 08:34) - Routes completed with a precautionary treatment, high cloud cover resulting in higher temps than forecast. No other road issues.

Nairn (as at 08:01)  - Wet Roads throughout the area with temps higher than forecast. Hill route treated as a precaution this morning. No known overnight issues.

Badenoch and Strathspey (as at 07:57) - Wet roads throughout the area with temps higher that forecast. Dava, Bridge of Brown and Ski road treated as a precaution. No known overnight issues.

Wester Ross, Strathpeffer and Lochalsh (as at 06:43) - Road surface temperature's below zero. Winter treatment on going, No overnight issues reported.

Skye and Raasay (as at 06:32): Morning treatments currently running on primary routes in anticipation of late morning minus road surface temperature's and ice. No overnight issues to report.

No schools are closed today.
