Consultation on Strategic Plan for Adult Services

NHS Highland and the Highland Council are engaging on the Strategic Plan for Adult Services 2024-27.

This is the strategic plan for the delivery of integrated health and adult social care services in the region covered by the Highland Health and Social Care Partnership.

You can read the plan and view a video summary on the NHS Highland website.

Please complete this survey to give your thoughts on the plan. The consultation is open until 30 September. Prefer to fill in a printed copy? Email nhsh.pmoadmin.nhs.scot and we will send you a paper version.

Communities will also have the chance to give their views at regular meetings with community and locality groups and further engagement sessions will be arranged with any groups less well represented by the online survey.

Chief Officer for Community/Highland Health and Social Care Pamela Cremin said, “This Plan sets the strategic direction for community health and social care services for adults in the Highlands. It’s important that we hear the views of people who access these services, their carers and loved ones, as well as groups representing communities in the area. Your views will be used to refine and finalise the Plan.”

Councillor David Fraser, Chair of the Council’s Health, Social Care & Wellbeing Committee, commented: “The Strategic Plan for Adult Services 2024-27 is now entering its engagement and consultation phase. This is an important element of the overall process and both NHS Highland and The Highland Council are inviting the views and opinions of people from across the region – feedback received will ultimately play a core role in fine-tuning and finalising the strategy for 2024-27. The consultation will remain open until 30 September and I would encourage participation and engagement from across the region.”

Once the Plan is finalised and approved, NHS Highland and the Highland Council will be working with communities on Local Delivery Plans to find ways to deliver sustainable services as locally as possible.
