Greig Street Bridge, Inverness to temporarily close to allow important flood defence test

Highland Council will be carrying out essential, annual flood defence testing in Inverness tomorrow (21 September 2023).

The test is being carried out between 9am and 11:30am tomorrow morning and will involve the closure of all the flood gates, including those on the Greig Street Bridge.

This means the bridge will be closed to the public for the duration of the test.

There will also be some brief traffic management on Cromwell Road while operatives close the gates there as part of the testing.
