Planned part-day road closures on B862 at Glebe, south of Gorthleck
Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be a two part-day road closures of the B862 at Glebe Settlement, south of Gorthleck (south of Inverness) on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 April 2024 between the hours of 0900 and 1700 each day.
The part-day road closures are required to carry out essential carriageway resurfacing works and to ensure safe working practices.
Local diversion routes will be available for Light Vehicles with Heavy Goods Vehicles being directed to use the main B-route corridors.
Advance notification signs advising the public of this closure are being erected at the site and at remote junctions, giving advance notice of the works. Traffic management operatives and diversion signs will be in place during the closures.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained and pedestrians and cyclists will also be managed through the works under the supervision of the contractor.
Bus services during closure times will terminate at Gorthleck. This means the 0630 and 1740 exiting Inverness service will get through to Whitebridge with the 0900 and 1520 exiting Inverness terminating at Gorthleck. Waste collections are unaffected.
