Highland Council to Promote Regional Investment Opportunities at UKREiiF 2025
The Highland Council is pleased to announce its participation in the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), taking place this week in Leeds. The event is recognised as the UK’s leading platform for fostering partnerships and securing investment in regeneration, infrastructure, and economic development.
As part of the Scottish Cities Alliance delegation, the Council will co-host the ‘Team Scotland’ pavilion, located on Pavilion Avenue. This year marks the most ambitious collaboration to date, with a strong focus on promoting the Highlands as a region of strategic importance and opportunity.
Representing the region alongside the Council is Inverness & Cromarty Firth Green Freeport. Together, they will highlight the transformational potential of the Highlands and engage with investors and private sector leaders who share a commitment to sustainable, inclusive growth.
The programme will commence with a panel session titled “Scotland’s Energy Transition: Opportunity, Infrastructure and Impact”, which will be officially opened by Councillor Raymond Bremner, Leader of The Highland Council who said:
“The Highlands are uniquely positioned to lead Scotland’s transition to a net zero economy. UKREiiF provides a vital platform to showcase our region’s strengths, attract new investment, and build the partnerships needed to deliver long-term prosperity for our communities.”
Calum MacPherson, CEO of Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, added: “The green freeport has enabled the Highlands to be at the forefront of Europe’s burgeoning renewables sector, with millions of pounds of investment already secured. The message we’ve taken to UKREiiF is that our ambitions are not aspirational – we’re here, we’re ready and we’re prepared for investment that enables future economic growth.”
The Highland Council invites all UKREiiF attendees to visit the Scotland pavilion to learn more about the region’s investment opportunities and strategic priorities.
