New Head Teacher of Drummond School, Inverness

The Highland Council has appointed Linda Schubert as head teacher of the 98-pupil Drummond School, Inverness. Mrs Schubert, who has been acting head teacher of the school since November, last year, takes up her post with immediate effect.

Mrs Schubert has been teaching in the Highlands since 1990. She was principal teacher of Pupil Support at Dornoch Aacdemy before moving to Drummond School in August 2004 as depute head teacher.

Drummond School has 98 pupils, aged between 3 and 18, with additional support needs.

It is one of 11 schools in the Highlands being built under a Schools Public Private Partnership.  Work on the £12 million project is expected to be completed in June of next year.
