Interim Community Council Elections – 2 Community Councils to hold a postal ballot to elect Community Councillors.

Following the withdrawal period for candidates, The Highland Council can now confirm that a postal ballot will be held to decide the membership of the following Community Councils:
Ballot papers with the candidate statements (where submitted by candidates) will be posted out to the eligible voters on Tuesday 23 September, 2025. The completed ballots must be returned by no later than 12noon on Friday 10 October 2025.
Community Councillors shall be elected on a simple majority basis. The successful candidates will be those with the highest number of votes, with the number of successful candidates equalling the number of vacancies.
