Repairs to begin in Rose Street car park

From Monday 3 November, a programme of structural repair works will commence at Rose Street multi-storey car park in Inverness for a period of four weeks.

The programme of work involves concrete repairs to 25 columns, mostly on the ground floor. As these columns are critical to the stability of the building, temporary propping will be installed around the worst effected columns to ensure the structural safety of the building during the works. The works are to enable the reopening of the areas which are currently fenced off.

The car park will remain open during the works, with a small area of the ground floor closed off for the contractor’s compound. The areas where the propping is located will also be closed, but these are entirely located within the areas currently fenced off. Some smaller areas will be closed for short durations.

Permit holders on the ground floor will be temporarily relocated for the duration of the works and have been contacted directly with more information.
