Art Workshop For Young People To Produce Creative Portraits

Young people aged between 12 and 15 years old are being invited to take part in a special workshop at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery where they will have the chance to use film and sound equipment to design creative portraits.

Skilled artistic duo Dave Martin and Graeme Roger will help the participants collect film and sound footage during the sessions which the group will then edit into a unique concoction of sound and images.

The workshop will take place on Saturday 30 August from 10am to 4pm and from 6pm to 6.30pm family and friends are invited to come along to the Museum & Art Gallery to see a public viewing of the completed work.

Assistant Curator at Inverness Museum and Art Gallery, Katey Boal said:  “This is a perfect chance for young people to work with two acclaimed artists to create something truly unique.  As well as learning new skills, I am sure the workshop will allow for a lot of creativity.  I look forward to seeing the end product during the public showing.”

Places on the workshop are free but are limited and must be booked in advance by telephoning Katey Boal on 01463 237114.
