Village Development is Focus for Culloden and Ardersier Ward Forum

Village development is the theme of the next Ward Forum for Culloden and Ardersier, which  will be on Tuesday 9 September at the PACE Hall, Ardersier, starting  at 7.30 p.m.

The Ward Forum is an opportunity for invited representatives from the local community to come together to discuss progress on developments and improvements across the ward and to debate issues of concern. It also provides an opportunity to scrutinise the services delivered by the Council.

It will be led by the Councillors who represent your area – Roddy Balfour, John Ford, Glynis Sinclair, and Robert Wynd, assisted by the Ward Manager, Charles Stephen. Representatives of Community Councils and partner agencies, such as Police, Health and Fire & Rescue Service, will also contribute to the forum.

The four Councillors for the Culloden and Ardersier Ward are fully supportive of local people being empowered to develop their own communities. They have organised a range of agencies to attend the Ward Forum so that resources can be identified from which communities can benefit and advice provided.

There will be a presentation by Lorraine MacPherson from Boat of Garten Village Hall on how their local community raised funds of £750,000 and built their new hall

The Forums are held in public and open for anyone to attend. The forum will last for up to 2 hours with time at the end for questions from the public.
