Agencies Join Forces To Offer Business Advice

The Highland Council, Inverness BID Company, HIE, the Inverness Citizens Advice Bureau and the Inverness Chamber of Commerce have joined forces and brought together a team of professional advisers to offer practical, impartial and free advice during a special question and answer session in the Town House on Tuesday 8 July.

The event, which runs from 5pm to 8pm, will see a range of guest advisers answering questions and giving advice on a wide variety of issues that may be causing concern for local businesses such as employment law, environmental health, banking, business rates and finances.

The idea for the event was raised at the last Inverness City Committee when city councillors expressed their concern for local businesses experiencing difficulties in the current economic climate.

City Manager David Haas said:  “The current state of the economy is affecting a lot of businesses and many are facing challenging times.  We have got together with our partner organisations to run this event in order to offer some support and practical advice on how to cope.  People are invited to come along and meet our advisers and, in confidence, ask questions about any business issues they may have.”

Anyone wishing to come along should just turn up at the Town House between 5pm and 8pm.
