Temporary road closure extended in Invergordon

The Highland Council will be extending the period of a temporary road closure which prohibits all vehicular traffic from using U4214 Shore Road and U4185 Clyde Street, Invergordon.

The effect of the extended order will be to close Shore road between its junction with Clyde street to its junction with Outram Street. In addition Clyde Street will be closed from Shore Road for a distance of 95m east of the junction.

The order came into force at 8:00am on Wednesday 27th February 2008 and shall now remain in force until 5pm on Friday 28th August 2008.

This restriction is necessary in order to allow Scottish Water to re-design and install new flood prevention measures.

Temporary traffic diversions will be available on adjacent streets in order to avoid the closure. Access to properties will be maintained at all times

The closure will be in force when the closure and diversion signs are in place. It is not anticipated that the roads will be opened each night on completion of the days work.
