24 Charities Benefit from Advent Calendar Project

The Highland Council’s Inverness Winter Festival Steering Group has announced the names of the 24 local charities and community groups that
will each receive £100 in the run up to Christmas Day.

The groups were among 65 which entered the draw to feature on the Giant Advent Calendar that will be projected on to the walls of Inverness Museum and Art Gallery from Monday 1 December.

Those which were successful were drawn out of a hat by Nikita Hall (3) and Lucy Ford (9) at last night’s spectacular Christmas Lights Switch On Ceremony, which saw Inverness Town House transformed into a giant projection screen by Evanton-based Arts in Motion.
