Fort William Waterfront – Public Meeting

The Fort William Waterfront development continues to progress and a public meeting is to be held on Monday 1 December when more details will be made known about what is to be included in the project, which offers a mix of retail, commercial, leisure and housing uses.

Representatives from Fort William Waterfront Limited consortium (the preferred bidder) will give a presentation outlining the content of the scheme, legal issues and timescales as well as arrangements for ongoing consultation with communities.

The Highland Council will also be represented at the meeting, which will be chaired by Convener Councillor Sandy Park.

The meeting will be held on Monday 1 December  from 6.30pm – 8.30pm in the Council Chambers of Lochaber House, High Street, Fort William.

Earlier in the day, the consortium will meet with Community Council representatives.

A spokesman for the consortium said: "This development offers an exciting opportunity to maximise use of Fort William waterfront for the benefit of the whole Lochaber area. We're keen to interact with the community at all levels in our design planning."
