Community Safety to Be Top of Agenda

The Cromarty Firth Ward forum meets on Thursday 9th October, and the focus will be on keeping communities safe.

Inspector Matthew Reiss will give an overview of modern policing before Alec Mckinley leads a session on behalf of the Highlands & Islands Fire Service. A representative from the Coastguard’s Service will also be present.

Councillor Mike Finlayson who will be chairing the evening said: “The forum won’t just look at the role of the emergency services as everybody has a role to play when it comes to ensuring our communities are safe places to live and work in. What the community can do to help prevent risks and accidents is often critically important so the evening will be a great opportunity to find more about specific safety issues in the area.”

The Forum, to be held in Invergordon Arts Centre, starts at 7.30pm with tea and coffee available from 7pm onwards.  Anyone is welcome to come along.
Questions can be raise during the evening or in advance by contacting Helen Ross at the Invergordon Service Point, 62 High St, Invergordon, IV18 ODH.  tel. 01349 855524 email helen.ross@highland.gov.uk
