New parking restrictions for Harbour Road

The Highland Council is proposing to introduce new parking restrictions next year at a busy location at the Longman Industrial Estate, Inverness.  This will see the introduction of double yellow lines on Harbour Road from the Longman Roundabout to the Millburn Road roundabout and on most of the cul-de-sacs along this stretch of carrriageway, including a section of Seafield Road.

The Council has received numerous complaints from businesses reporting that uncontrolled parking is obstructing deliveries and access for emergency vehicles.   The proposed parking restrictions will address these concerns.

These proposals, which are the first phase of a review of parking and waiting restrictions covering the whole of the Longman Industrial Estate, will shortly be advertised in the local press and on notices displayed alongside the road.  Representations from road users and businesses on the proposals will be encouraged at that time.
