Council Funds Poolewe Swimming Pool Repairs

The Highland Council’s Education, Culture and Sport Committee has agreed to provide £24,000 funding to enable emergency repairs to be carried out at Poolewe Swimming Pool.

Owned and operated by a community company, the pool’s facility manager is employed by The Highland Council as part of an assistance and grant aid package provided by the Council

Following a health and safety inspection, the facility recently closed pending repairs to electrical installations and a leaking roof.

Committee members approved the funding required to bring the facility back into operation.

Work will begin as soon as possible.
