Transport issues back on agenda of Highland Council’s Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Forum.

Following a meeting of The Highland Council’s Dingwall and Seaforth Ward Forum on the 19th of November at which many travel issues were raised by local people, the Council is organising a ‘Transport Forum’ on 29th January to look specifically at public transport issues affecting the Ward and surrounding communities.

Taking the form of a ‘question time’ session, a panel of transport providers will be present to answer questions from the public.  Representatives from Stagecoach, Transerv, and Highland Council’s TEC Services will be in attendance as well as HiTrans, Community Transport and the Local Access Panel.

The meeting will be chaired by Highland Councillor Angela MacLean.  Other Highland Dingwall and Seaforth councillors and Community Council representatives will also be present.

Councillor MacLean said: “This is a further opportunity for the public to raise their issues and have questions answered by the transport providers who were not able to attend the Ward Forum in November.  The last Ward Forum was very well attended and we hope for a similar turnout next Thursday night.”

The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, Dingwall on Thursday 29th January from 7.00 pm.
