Harry Potter Highland Quest

With Harry Potter mania sweeping the nation following the launch of the latest film The Highland Council Countryside Rangers and Forestry Commission Scotland Rangers have teamed up to organise a special Harry Potter Quest.

Held in Balnain Forest on Tuesday 21 July, the Quest will stretch the brains and legs of Harry Potter fans as they puzzle their way through a series of tasks.

Corinne Hambly, The Highland Council Countryside Ranger, said: “We are giving families the chance to put a bit of magic into a walk in the countryside.  Everybody loves a bit of Harry Potter and we’ve got a lots of games and challenges lined up to test out people’s wizard skills.  It should be a bit of fun based around the Hogwarts' crew and you never know, there might be few  prizes up for grabs.”

Running from 2pm to 4pm, this is a free family event which is most suitable for children aged between 8 and 12 years old, who should be accompanied by a responsible adult.  The meeting point is the Forestry Commission car park at Balnain Forest.

For more information please phone Corinne Hambly on 01463 710786.

The aim of The Highland Council Countryside Rangers is to promote public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and to conserve wildlife.
