Telford Street road works, Inverness

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that temporary traffic restrictions will be put in place at Telford Street, Inverness from Saturday 28 March, 2009 for a period of 28 days or until road works are completed.

The temporary restrictions will apply to east bound traffic to allow ‘LM Construction’ to undertake road widening and resurfacing works between the Telford Street junction with Lochalsh Road and Telford Street roundabout.

The temporary traffic management measures will be in operation to provide a safe working area for the contractors and to maintain public safety.

Highland Council and the contractor have worked closely together to ensure that the impact on vehicular movement will be kept to a minimum. As a result of this co-operation the works have been programmed to coincide with the schools’ Easter holiday break when commuting traffic will be reduced.
