Highland Bakery provides bite-sized support to conference for Highland Homecoming
A partnership which will provide support for the Highland Homecoming Conference – ‘Scotland’s Global Impact’ – has been announced between The Highland Council and Nairn-based Asher’s Bakery.
Ashers, who manufacture and wholesale quality bakery produce throughout the UK, will supply branded Homecoming Scotland shortbread bites to The Highland Council for conference delegates attending Scotland’s Global Impact - how one small nation changed the world! In support of Highland Homecoming, Ashers will also sell branded Homecoming Scotland shortbread bites through their retail outlets from next week to the end of October 2009.
Councillor Sandy Park, Convener of The Highland Council said: “It is extremely fitting that Ashers is supporting The Highland Council’s Highland Homecoming Conference as part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations. Shortbread is one of our unique delicacies that has worldwide recognition as being typically Scottish. I would like to thank Ashers not only for their generosity in supporting the conference by providing shortbread bites but also in supporting the marketing of the event throughout the Highlands by raising awareness of Homecoming Scotland in their retail outlets.”

Scotland’s Global Impact Conference will be officially opened by First Minister Alex Salmond MSP and will run from 22 - 24 October 2009 at Eden Court, Inverness.
