Residents of the Inverness Ness-side Ward of The Highland Council are invited to focus on planning at the latest Inverness Ness-side Ward Forum being held on Thursday 28 May at Bun-Sgoil Gàidhlig, Inbhir Nis, Inverness’s Gaelic Primary School, Slackbuie. The meeting starts at 7.30 p.m.

The main topic for this Forum is “the Planning Process”.  The main speaker is Malcolm Macleod, Development Plans Manager for the Council.

Malcolm is to outline recent changes in planning, and to set out the Council’s role in the process.  He will concentrate on development planning for the Ward, and the links with the development of a City Vision.  Suggestions for potential areas for future development are to be invited, and Malcolm will also respond to questions.

The Forum is to be chaired by Jean Slater, the Chair of Hilton, Milton and Castle Heather Community Council.

Jean said: ““This is an ideal opportunity for members of the public to make their views known and I would encourage people to attend.”

The agenda also includes an update from Stagecoach on local bus Services, and a regular item on Community Safety issues within the Ward, delivered by Area Commander Chief Inspector Julian Innes.
