Temporary closure along stretch of B9176 Struie Road

Motorists are being advised that part of the B9176 Struie Road will be closed to all vehicles from 6am on Wednesday 2nd until 6am on Thursday 3rd December to allow essential repairs to be carried out to a retaining wall.

The area affected is the B9176 junction with the U2002 link road to Edderton and the B9176’s north junction with the A836 at Wester Fearn.

The closure is necessary to make repairs to the retaining wall near to “High Bridge”.  This section of road has been reduced to single file traffic and has been controlled by traffic lights for some time.

Traffic using the B9176 Struie road will be diverted via Edderton and should use the U2002 unclassified route between Edderton and the B9176 Struie Road. This diversion however  is not suitable for heavy goods vehicles.

An alternative route is available via the A836 Ardgay to Dornoch Bridge Roundabout and the A9 Dornoch Bridge Roundabout to Skiach Junction roads.
