Upgrade of A9 Tore roundabout

Upgrade of A9 Tore roundabout: night time work (8pm to 6am) starts on Monday 19 October

Users of the A9  at Tore Roundabout are to benefit from a £100,000 Transport Scotland investment to resurface  the carriageway.  These works are being carried out at night (8 pm – 6 am) to minimise delays to day time traffic .

They will begin on Monday 19th October and are expected to last for  one week.

In excess of 21,000 vehicles use this location every day and it is now in need of complete resurfacing.    Acting on Transport Scotland’s behalf, operating company Scotland Transerv will resurface the carriageway in the following four phases:-

 Phase 1:  19  and 20 October: - resurfacing works.

A832 (Munlochy) closed to traffic at A9 Tore roundabout, a signed diversion route will be in place. All other roads off the roundabout will be controlled by traffic lights.

Phase 2:   21 October 2009 - resurfacing works.

A832 (Muir of Ord) closed to traffic at A9 Tore Roundabout, a signed diversion route will be in place. All other roads off the roundabout will be controlled by traffic lights.

Phase 3:  22 October 2009 - resurfacing works.

A835 closed to traffic at A9 Tore Roundabout, a signed diversion route will be in place. All other roads off the roundabout will be controlled by traffic lights.

Phase 4:  23 October 2009 - lining works.

All roads controlled by lights.

Motorists should allow extra time for their journeys and pay attention to location and timings of the works on the A9, A835, and A832. These works are planned to be undertaken between 8pm and 6am.
