Bushcraft Day at Abriachan

Highland Council’s Inverness Rangers will be getting outdoors this weekend and are inviting people to join them to practice at the ancient skills of Bushcraft.

On Saturday 1 May from 2pm - 4pm, people will be able to try their hand at building a shelter, foraging for wild woods and fire starting under the expert eye of Bushcraft practitioners.

Katy Martin, Senior Ranger for Inverness said: “This is a family friendly event to practice the basic skills required for surviving in the wild.  It’s great fun to try”. She added, “Abriachan Forest is a rich source of all the materials you need to survive. People have been using these skills as long as they have lived here”

This is a joint event between The Highland Council’s Rangers and Abriachan Forest Trust. There is a cost of £3 adults and £2 children/concessions.
