The new head teacher of Merkinch Primary School , Inverness, is Mrs Tracy Sinclair, who has been the school's acting head teacher for the past three months.  She takes up her post with immediate effect.

Prior to her post as acting head, Mrs Sinclair had worked in Merkinch Primary as depute head for two years and had taught at Tarradale Primary School, Muir of Ord, as both a class teacher and principal teacher.

Mrs Sinclair said: “I am delighted to take up this post in Merkinch Primary. I have a very committed team of people here and am looking forward to all the challenges ahead.
