Positive HMIe report for Strathgarve Primary School

In a recently published HMIe report on Strathgarve Primary School,  the following key strengths were identified:-

Inspectors commented upon how all children have a sense of citizenship from being members of one of a number of committees which meet on ‘citizenship mornings’. They also reported on how the active Parent Council is very supportive of the school and been involved in a number of key issues including the revised management arrangements.

They said the headteacher gives energetic leadership and is committed to securing improvement and that he enjoys the confidence of parents and staff.

Mr Robert Quigley, Head Teacher, said: “I am extremely pleased with this report as the progress that the school has made is down entirely down to the hard work of all the pupils, staff and parents and am delighted that the report reflects this level of commitment. We look forward to continuing to develop our school within the new Curriculum for Excellence.”

Mr Paul Moxon, Chairperson of Strathgarve Parent Council, added: “The Parent Council are delighted that the report reflects and recognises the hard work and dedication of the Head Teacher, staff and pupils of Strathgarve Primary School. Our congratulations go out to them all.”
