Council to close Tain footbridge

The Highland Council is notifying members of the public that measures are being put in place to close the Alexandra Footbridge in Tain which is the responsibility of the Tain Common Good Fund.

Following an engineering inspection of the footbridge, the Council will be closing the footbridge in the interests of public safety.
 
While measures to close the bridge could take a few days to put in place the Council is satisfied that this action is acceptable.
