Temporary traffic restrictions on part of Inverness area road

The Highland Council is advising all road users that from Monday 5 September part of the C1080 Inverfarigaig – Errogie Road will have temporary traffic restrictions in place to allow for the safe removal of timber.

The area of the road closed to vehicles will be between the C1080s junction with the C1084 Inverfarigag – Glenlia Road and the junction with the unclassified Aultnagoire Road.

An alternative route for drivers will be available using part of the C1080 Inverfarigaig – Errogie Road, the C1084 Inverfarigaig – Glenlia Road, the B862 Fort Augustus – Whitebridge road and the B852 Dalcrag Bridge – Foyer – Dores Road.

The restriction will remain in place until all the timber removal carried out by Forestry Commission Scotland are completed.  This is expected to be by Friday 11 November.

In the event of an emergency, the contractor will arrange access for emergency vehicles.
