Managing unauthorised encampments

The Highland Council has taken preventative measures to manage unauthorised encampments at the Highland Archive and Registration Centre, Inverness and also the adjacent Whin Park Boating and Play Park.

Barriers and gates are being installed to preserve the quality of the open space for the general public to enjoy, and to ensure continuity of service delivery for civil registrations and marriage ceremonies at the Archive and Registration Centre.

A spokesperson said: ‘The barriers are being sensitively designed and will not affect public accessibility of the park or The Archive and Registration Centre.”
