Balloch drama pupils present the Christmas story

An after school drama club at Balloch Primary School will present a musical adaptation of the Christmas Story in their performances of “Come Lord”.

The performances will be held in Culloden Academy’s community theatre on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th Dec at 7.30pm.  Theatre Doors open at 7.10pm.

Around 60 children from primaries one to seven are involved in the production.

The drama club has been running for two years and pupils meet on a weekly basis to learn skills in acting, singing, production, and backstage support.

Parent organiser of the Drama Club, Karen Halkett said: “This is our second production, following on from the success of last year’s ‘Wizard of Oz’. It’s highly rewarding that we are able to present performances to parents, families and friends and we thank  the pupils for all the hard work and effort that they have put into their production. On behalf of the Club I would like to thank everyone involved including Culloden Academy for the use of their magnificent theatre.”

Tickets for “Come Lord” are £3 each and are available from Karen Halkett on tel: 01463 790601 or pay at the theatre on the evening of the performance. The Children will also be performing a few of the songs from the musical at Balloch School Christmas Fayre on Wed 13th December.
