Two temporary road closures in the Inverness area

In order to carry out temporary strengthening works on the C1064 Inverness to Ashie Moor Road at Drumdevan Bridge and the transportation of electricity transformers across the bridge, traffic restrictions will be in place for all road users on Friday 8th April.
 
An alternative route for all vehicles will be available using the C1040 Torbeck Road, the B862 Fort Augustus – Whitebridge – Torness – Dores – Inverness Road, the C1064 Inverness – Ashie Moor Road (part) and the C1076 Loch Ashie – Dunlichity – Brin Road.

The temporary restriction will be in place for one day only.

A separate traffic restriction will be in place on the C1080 Inverfarigaig to Errogie Road (part) from Monday 28 March in order for the safe removal of timber on the side slopes of this section of road to be carried out.  The stretch of the road affected is from the junction with the C1084 Inverfaigaig – Glenlia Road and the junction with the unclassified Aultnagoire Road.

Alternative routes for vehicles will be available using the C1080 Inverfarigaig – Errogie Road (part), the C1084 Inverfarigaig – Glenlia Road, the B862 Fort Augustus – Inverness road and the B852 Dalcrag Briddge – Foyers- Dores Road.

The restriction will be in place from Monday until the work is completed which is expected to be Sunday 8 May 2011.
