Health week in Nairn Primary schools

This week, Nairn Primary Schools (Auldearn, Cawdor, Millbank and Rosebank) are hosting their annual Health Week.

Throughout the week school staff are working in partnership with the local School Nurse Team and Highland Council’s Active Schools Co-ordinator to run various health related activities that will ensure the youngsters develop the knowledge, understanding and skills which they need now and in the future.

While older pupils are given the opportunity to take part in dance, sport and fitness, relaxation, massage, food education and food tasting activities in their respective schools; nursery youngsters will gather at The Maggot to participate in the Active Schools Annual Nursery Olympics on Wednesday 24 May 10am to 12 noon.

Sponsored by local business East to West financial services all four year olds from cluster nurseries will be supported through their paces by Nairn Academy Sports Leaders who also lead the way in Highland on The Young Ambassador for Sport Programme.
