Ben Wyvis Primary School Safer Routes to School contract award

The Highland Council has awarded a contract to Pat Munro Alness Ltd to carry out traffic calming measures in Maryburgh and Conon Bridge as part of the safer routes to school scheme. Included in the contract is the resurfacing of the main bridge at Conon Bridge and installation of new parapets.

The works, costing £341,600, include new 20 mph speed limits, traffic islands, new pedestrian crossings together with the bridge upgrade.

The contract has been designed and will be supervised by The Highland Council Project Design Unit, Structures Section and Safer routes to School Team.

The works will start on Monday 14 May and last for 11 weeks.
