Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Monday 17 December 2012 are as follows:

Mid and West Ross Morning
All routes being treated in priority order. Frosty with icy patches in all areas that have not been treated. Posted: 17/12/2012 12:12

North Sutherland and Caithness
Mainly inland routes affected by frost and ice, patrolled and treated as required.

South Sutherland and East Ross
All routes affected by hoar frost and icy patches with some patchy fog. Routes treated with 20gms salt. Posted: 17/12/2012 08:33

Badenoch and Strathspey
Main routes mostly clear. Frost patches on side rural roads. All routes to be checked and gritted by priority footways with low salt levels been checked. Conditions much the same across whole area. Posted: 17/12/2012 08:16

Skye and Lochalsh
Light frost and icy patches reported on most roads. Treating all priority 1, 2 and 3 routes and reviewing at dawn. Posted: 17/12/2012 06:41
