Council urges people on benefits to find out how much Welfare Reform will cost them.

People on benefits are being invited to a series of advice sessions being run by The Highland Council to hear about how changes in the Welfare Reform Act (starting in Spring 2013) will affect them.

Staff from the Council’s Income Maximisation Team will be on hand at three events in Inverness from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on:

People who are on any type of benefit including the following are invited to attend the events:

People of working age on these benefits may see their income reduced once the new Welfare Reform Act comes into effect from Spring 2013 and the Council is urging benefit recipients to find out how the changes will affect them.
