Promoting liftshare in the Black Isle

The Transition Black Isle Group is inviting people to join them to a transport group meeting in North Kessock Mission Hall (opposite the old pier) on Thursday 29 November at 7.30pm.

The group will be giving an update on the ‘Million Miles’ project and will be offering the chance to find out about a liftshare scheme/website which will be launched in January 2013. They will be welcoming local input into how best the scheme can be promoted in the area and how they can make it as successful as possible.

Project Officer Marion McDonald with Transition Black Isle, Millions Miles Project said: “Thanks to additional funding secured from The Highland Council’s Black Isle Ward Discretionary Fund we are able to create a local version of the very successful Liftshare.com site which we plan to officially launch in January 2013.”

She added: “At the meeting there will also be a short update on the Million Miles Project, so that people can see what we have been up to in the last 6 months.”
Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome at the meeting.
