Police Scotland travel advice as strong winds forecast

Police Scotland is advising that the Met Office has issued an Amber warning for wind between 2100 hours tonight and 0800 hours tomorrow.

Conditions for travel in Ayrshire, Argyll and Bute, the Western Isles and areas across North West Scotland may be hazardous and EXTRA CAUTION should be exercised.

If you are travelling you should ensure you and your vehicle are adequately prepared for the conditions, making sure you have sufficient fuel and supplies such as warm clothing, food and water in the event you are delayed for several hours.
