Police and Highland Council advise of roads affected by snow in Badenoch and Strathspey area.

Police Scotland and Highland Council wish to advise that a number of roads in the Badenoch and Strathspey region are currently badly affected by heavy falling snow.

Police are advising road users travelling in the area to do so with care.

A Highland Council spokesperson said: "We have been experiencing heavy snow showers In Badenoch and Strathspey and our TECS Services staff have been gritting mostly primary and secondary roads according to our gritting policy at http://www.highland.gov.uk/gritting.htm. Check out the Council's gritting map for your area before your travel.”
