Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Wednesday 20 February 2013 are as follows:

Caithness and North sutherland
Caithness road surface temperatures higher than North Sutherland temperatures lower. Roads treated in Gaulin area. Some white frost on high parts. No other problems reported. Posted: 20/02/2013 08:51

Inverness
Roads damp/dry, adequate salt levels, no known problems. Posted: 20/02/2013 08:48

Nairn
Lower roads freezing fog, roads icy. Higher routes drier with patches of frost. Treating lower roads and footpaths by priority.  Posted: 20/02/2013 08:25

South Sutherland and East Ross 
Routes patrolled and treated by priority and policy. Most routes mixture of dry and damp roads. Posted: 20/02/2013 08:15

Skye and Lochalsh
Priority 1 route patrols completed with no reported problems. Roads mainly dry with occasional pockets of frost. Posted: 20/02/2013 07:20

Badenoch and Strathspey, Lochaber, Ross and Cromarty
No problems reported.
